Photojournalism as Entertainment

Next week at the NCA conference down in San Diego I will be reading a paper on the publishing industry, advertising and the commodification of documentary photography and photojournalism. Over at Lightstalkers there is a now long running thread about an MTV style television piece that follows two photojournalists through Gaza and the West Bank. It gets better as it goes on, with bigger names weighing in down lower in the thread. Almost all the contemporary issues at play in photojournalism get aired out, at least indirectly.
